Story-led campaign to help LetsLocalise attract corporate partners and show the real impact of STEM in schools

STORO partnered with LetsLocalise to create a story-led campaign that would help the organisation attract new corporate partners and communicate the real impact of its work in UK state schools. LetsLocalise connects corporate CSR and social value teams with schools delivering hands-on STEM and sustainability programmes, but struggled to tell that story in a way that moved people. STORO developed the campaign strategy, produced a series of high-end films and a photography set, and delivered creative assets used across social media, events, and stakeholder communications. Following the campaign, LetsLocalise secured IBM as a major new partner and gained government endorsement at the House of Lords.

THE CHALLENGE

LetsLocalise had reached over 500,000 students across 1,100 schools nationally, but their communications did not reflect the scale or emotion of the work. Their website was fragmented, their narrative lacked focus, and they needed a campaign that could build trust with corporate decision-makers. Multiple stakeholders had to align, some corporate clients wanted to keep a low profile, and the narrative had to adapt to a recent change in government. The impact was real. The story was not landing.

APPROACH

STORO developed the key campaign narratives through close collaboration with LetsLocalise, their corporate partners, schools, and educational bodies. The creative strategy focused on the human stories: the children, the teachers, the moments where confidence is born. A small crew filmed across two days in live school environments, producing a hero film, social media edits, and targeted cuts. The photography captured hands-on STEM activities and genuine reactions without interfering with the events. When some corporate partners chose to remain unnamed, it became an advantage. The camera turned fully towards the people on the ground.

IMPACT

  • IBM signed as a major partner, committing to adopt 250 secondary schools and upskill over 160,000 students over three years

  • Government endorsement received, including a landmark event at the House of Lords

  • The project was praised by Cognizant, a major global technology and consulting firm and one of LetsLocalise's corporate partners

  • Won the Inspiring Indian Woman & Global Leadership Awards

  • Film and photography assets deployed across social media, website, events, and stakeholder presentations

WHY THIS MATTERS

Access to real-world skills and career exposure should not depend on which school a young person attends. Programmes like LetsLocalise are closing a gap the education system cannot close alone, bringing the corporate world into the classroom so students from all backgrounds can see what they are capable of. When the story behind that work is told well, it unlocks the partnerships that make it sustainable.
